WV Democratic women annual meeting.

NEWS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE May 20, 2021

STATEWIDE DEMOCRATIC WOMEN’S ORGANIZATION TO HOLD
ANNUAL MEETING.

The 57th Annual Meeting of the West Virginia Federation of Democratic Women,
Inc. will be held on Saturday, September 18th at the Stonewall Resort in Roanoke,
West Virginia.

“I’m so excited about seeing our members and being able to talk with them
in person,” said Anna Pompa Gillespie, a Brooke County resident and President of
the WVFDW. “This organization is family to me and leading a political
organization virtually, has been a challenge,” Gillespie continued.

The meeting will feature a Business Session with Election of Officers, an Awards
Luncheon with Special Guest Speaker (TBA) and workshops featuring Leadership
Training, working towards our Party’s efforts to elect Democrats at every level.
Democratic women participate and study government at all levels but focus,
particularly on those issues that affect the lives of women and families.

All Democratic women and men are welcome to attend. A block of rooms is set
aside for guests for Friday and Saturday evening, if desired. Hotel reservations can
be made by calling 304-269-7400, using group code 7199885, WVFDW. Please
make reservations early. Event Registration Fee is $45.00 per person.

Updates on Cabell County Democratic website.

Within the last week I have been upgrading the new website adding new software features and plugins. The website is ready to use right now but not all of its features are enabled. That’s what I’ve been working on in the background. There’s a lot of things that go on on the back end of a website that the public does not see. Eventually Cabell County Democrats will have a website they can be proud of.
